Blueberry Visits a Blueberry Patch

Hi everyone! This is Blueberry. I’m a keychain Beanie Boo, and I’m so excited to tell you about my recent visit to a blueberry farm.

Did I mention that I love everything blueberry?

I love blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes, and blueberry pie.

I love blueberry jam, blueberry juice and blueberry milkshakes.

Do you want to know how I like blueberries the most?

I like them all by themselves: ripe and juicy in a blue bowl.

My Dream Comes True: Seeing Where Blueberries Come From

Since I love blueberries so much, and since my name is Blueberry, it’s always been my dream to visit a blueberry farm and see how they grow. Oh, and I was hoping I’d get to taste a few fresh-picked ones.

Last Saturday, my dream came true.

April is blueberry season here in Florida where I live.

In fact, blueberry season comes around once a year year, and it’s pretty short – just a few weeks. That’s when you can come to the fields and pick blueberries yourself. When the season is over, you have to wait almost a whole year for blueberry season to come around again.

I took a picture of the blueberry fields to share with you. You can see the short bushes are planted in neat rows.

Blueberries Are Beautiful

Did you know that blueberries are beautiful? They are. Here’s what they look like growing on a blueberry bush.

The bluest blueberries are ripe for picking. They are sweet and ready to eat.

You can pick blueberries and put them into a bucket, or you can eat them right off the bush. Guess what I did?
